An Instagram agent that posts only what you approve
Connect an Instagram Business or Creator account and an agent can publish an image post with a caption of up to 2,200 characters, after you approve it. It can also read your follower count and how your recent posts did, so its next drafts start from what already works for your audience.

What an agent can do with Instagram
Publishes image posts
One image per post with a caption of up to 2,200 characters. Instagram accepts images between 4:5 portrait and 1.91:1 landscape.
Makes the image as well
It can generate the picture in the same conversation once you have agreed what it should show.
Reads how the account is doing
Follower, following and post counts, plus likes and comments on recent posts.
Works from a plan
With the Social Content template it plans the week first, then drafts each post for you to approve.
How to connect Instagram
- 1Make sure the account is a Business or Creator account. You can switch in Instagram’s settings.
- 2Go to Integrations in your dashboard and connect Instagram. You sign in with Instagram itself, with no Facebook Page involved.
- 3Choose which agents may post.
What needs your approval
By default every post waits for you. In chat you see the finished post and approve it there. Posts written on scheduled runs or from Slack wait in your Approvals inbox until you publish or reject them.
Things you can ask it
“Post this product photo with a launch-day caption.”
Writes the caption and shows you the finished post for approval.
“How did our last ten posts do?”
Reads likes and comments on recent posts and points out what the stronger ones have in common.
“Plan next week’s posts around our new feature.”
Proposes a mix of posts, then drafts each one with an image for you to approve.
Limits today
What this integration does not do yet, so you know before you connect it.
- Publishing needs a Business or Creator account. A personal account can connect, but Instagram refuses its posts.
- Single-image posts only: no carousels, Reels or Stories.
- Agents cannot read insights such as reach or saves, and they do not reply to comments or messages.

Questions about Instagram
Do I need a Facebook Page?
No. SelfAgentic uses Instagram Login, so you connect the Instagram account directly. To publish, it needs to be a Business or Creator account.
Can the agent post Reels or carousels?
Not yet. It publishes single-image posts with a caption.
Will it reply to comments for me?
No. It can see how many likes and comments recent posts received, but it does not read or answer individual comments.
