A LinkedIn agent that drafts, then waits for your yes

Connect LinkedIn and an agent can write a post of up to 3,000 characters, attach one image and publish it to your profile, public or connections-only. When you are in chat it shows you the post first and, by default, nothing goes out until you approve it. Posts from scheduled runs, Slack and workflows wait in your Approvals inbox.

What an agent can do with LinkedIn

Drafts in your voice

It writes from a brief, a link, a meeting or an earlier post, and its memory keeps the tone notes and topics you have given it before.

Adds an image

Attach one image to a post, including an image the agent generates in the same conversation once you have agreed the brief.

Publishes to your profile

Public or connections-only, up to LinkedIn’s 3,000-character limit, after you approve it.

Keeps a posting rhythm

Put the agent on a schedule and it drafts on that rhythm. Each draft lands in your Approvals inbox for you to publish or reject.

How to connect LinkedIn

  1. 1Go to Integrations in your dashboard and connect LinkedIn.
  2. 2Sign in to LinkedIn and approve SelfAgentic’s access.
  3. 3Choose which agents may post for you.

What needs your approval

By default nothing is published until you approve it. In chat the agent shows a preview card and waits for you. Posts written on scheduled runs, from Slack, or by a workflow’s “Post to LinkedIn” step go to your Approvals inbox and publish only when you approve them there, within 24 hours.

Things you can ask it

“Turn this blog post into a LinkedIn post.”

Drafts a post that leads with the main point and shows it to you for approval.

“Draft three posts for next week from our changelog.”

Writes three drafts. On a scheduled run they wait in your Approvals inbox.

“Make an image for this post and share it with my connections only.”

Agrees the image brief with you, generates it, attaches it and asks before posting.

Limits today

What this integration does not do yet, so you know before you connect it.

  • Posts go to your personal profile.
  • One image per post. Video, documents and carousels are not supported.
  • Agents cannot read your feed, comments or post analytics. The only account details they can read are your name, email, photo and language.

Questions about LinkedIn

Will the agent post without asking me?

Not by default. Posts it writes in chat need your approval on the preview card, and posts from scheduled runs, Slack and workflows wait in your Approvals inbox until you publish or reject them.

Can it read my LinkedIn analytics?

No. It can publish posts and read your basic profile. It cannot see your feed, comments, followers or how posts performed.

Can I stop an agent from using LinkedIn?

Yes. LinkedIn access is granted per agent. Remove the grant, or disconnect LinkedIn to remove it from every agent at once.

Put an agent to work in LinkedIn

Create an agent, connect the tools it needs and choose exactly what it may touch.
